Don't Miss Out On What's Going On At KARN Newsradio
    Wednesday, March 5, 2008
We know you're busy, so we're working on making sure we can get you the best information in news, weather, events, and programing from our station, the way you want it, as quickly as we can produce it. And we know that some of you are more media savvy than others, so some of this technology is a little more scarier to some. But we are here to help you, so we want you to help us along the way.

Coming soon, we'll be launching a slew of new features from the main website (karnnewsradio.com), including a new text message information service to help us provide true 'instant news' in weather, traffic, sports, and special programing alerts. All this means a lot of work, a lot of debugging, and answering a lot of questions, concerns, and complaints when things don't work as advertised (or even when then work a little to well...).

We're going to need a lot of help, and a lot of feedback as we launch features, and I want to assure you that every single email is important. You'll be reminded plenty of time along the way, but you can send me email via Website Issue on the contact us page at the main website, or send it straight to my 'rollover' address at karnewsradio@sbcglobal.net.

In the meantime, make sure you're receiving as much information as possible
from us at the KARNnewsradio.com side of things. Be sure to sign up to me a member of the KARN Listener Club to receive email announcements, including the Daily Email News Blast, follow us to get updated 'tweets' from Twitter, or become one of our friends at our Myspace page. And of course, listen live when away from your radio anywhere you have hi-speed Internet access at the Listen Live page.

UPDATE: Before we get to wrapped up in the text messaging, let me remind/warn you about signing up for the services. As you may already know, signing up for KARN emails and KARN Listen Live are two separate logins because they are to different vendors for service. To receive KARN Text Messages, you'll have to sign in to a third service with a third login. I know its a hassle, and we are working to integrate all functions, but for the moment, we're stuck with what we've got. You will not have to log in to anything to send us texts, which will be somehow partnered with or take over the current Instant Feedback.
